Originally from Tamaulipas, Chef Guillermo Carmona began his studies in Systems Engineering, however he soon realized that path was not his true calling. After working in various restaurants in the US, he returned to Mexico to study gastronomy, specializing in Mexican and French cuisine. Throughout his career he has served in fine hotels such as Iberostar and Palace in Cozumel, Le Blanc in Cancun and Zoëtry Agua in Punta Cana. Today he delights palates as Executive Chef of Velas Vallarta resort.
Originally from Guerrero, Chef Roberto Sierra has over 10 years of culinary experience at hotel groups including InterContinental and Hilton. He discovered his love for cooking at an early age alongside his grandparents, and started out by working with prestigious chefs with whom he specialized in avant-garde Mexican cuisine. He has participated in international events in Cuba, Venezuela and Costa Rica and is now the chef of Mexican restaurant Frida at Grand Velas Los Cabos.
