From a family of fishermen in Campeche, since his childhood he learned strong fishing techniques. He studied the Culinary Arts Apprenticeship program at Renton Technical College and learn culinary techniques that awakened his passion for good cooking. He participates in the opening of several restaurants and serves as Sous Chef in the executive restaurant of Microsoft Company in Washington. In 2016 he opened with Edwin Estrella his first seafood gastro restaurant, Kraken Alta Cocina del Mar.
Born in the city of Tizimín, Yucatán. He studied at Universidad de Oriente de Valladolid and took an important step in his career when he joined the Piaf restaurant at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, resort where he also leaded Yucatecan restaurant, Chaká. He has participated in culinary events with internationally acclaimed chefs such as Michel Mustière, Christian Têtedoie, and Carlos Gaytán. Today, he is Executive Chef of restaurant Lucca at sister resort Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.
