Originally from Mexico City, Chef Raul Hernandez began his culinary career in Playa del Carmen as an apprentice at AM Resorts with Chef Daniel Garcia. He continued his career in restaurant Piaf at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, where he trained under Chef Michel Mustière and learned various French culinary techniques, receiving the Maître Cuisinier de France Apprentice recognition. He is currently Chef de Cuisine of Piaf at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.
Born in Paris, Steve Benjamin holds two culinary titles from the Chambre du Commerce du Val d’Oise. He worked at many and very important Michelin-starred restaurants. He studied with Joël Robuchon, considered the “chef of the century”, who recruited him to open L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris. He later moved to Las Vegas as the Executive Chef of the new L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand, which would go on to receive one Michelin stars. Since 2017 he has been the Executive Chef of the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills and is also a recent winner of Chopped! on the Food Network.
